The NETworks are a series of weaven portraits, made with threads and nails, which assume multiple aspects depending on the particular light they receive. From the morning to the night the shades assume different position and inclinations making the portrait alive and responsive.
Reducing the morphology to simple shapes I draw the shadows in a way that they remind the geometrical form of our skin.Those forms, taking distance from the white wooden ground, create a suspended portrait frozen in time.
What can appear fragile reveals a surprising strenght, reminding the way that memory acts in our consciousness.
Founded on the basic duality which is part of us, 0 and 1, black and white, ancient and modern, positive and negative, simple and complex, digital and analogical, tradition and innovation, those portraits are like abstract infographics of the inner relations we constantly weave.
